One of the most famous British sports car brands, and their iconic marque, have broke new ground with the launch of the DB12, the world’s first Super Tourer.
The introduction of the DB12 coincides with Aston Martin's commemoration of two noteworthy achievements in 2023, namely, its momentous 110th anniversary and the 75th anniversary of the prestigious DB model lineage.
The establishment of the partnership between Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford marked the inception of Aston Martin, which has since then been associated with over a century of automotive enthusiasm, pioneering British ingenuity, and triumphant racing achievements.
Speaking about the launch, Roberto Fedeli, Chief Technology Officer of Aston Martin said: “DB12 is a statement car. One that asserts Aston Martin’s position as a leader in performance, dynamics, engineering and technology. We have pushed every aspect of this car to be best-in-class. The result is more power and performance than its rivals. Combined with exceptional handling and an exciting soundtrack, it is a car with passion and a truly sporting character. Crucially, thanks to its breadth of capability we have achieved this without compromising refinement, comfort and luxury. Together with our use of industry-leading dynamic control and infotainment systems, DB12 is the start of Aston Martin’s most exciting new era.”
This historic date also coincides with a phase of notable momentum for Aston Martin spanning over a century, which is attributed to the team's consistent achievement of podium finishes in the 2023 Formula 1® championship. Participating in the highest level of global motorsports continues to be a fundamental aspect of the brand and product strategy of the company.
