BMW Claims Business Awards

Premium German brand BMW has shown why it is the favoured business car of British executives by claiming a clutch of awards at the Business Car Awards.

The BMW i4, 3 Series, 5 Series, and X5 received awards for being the best vehicle in their class, in addition to the overall award, Fleet Manufacturer of the Year.

Judges praised the i4 for its “impressive electric range” and “practical hatchback design” in awarding it Best Electric Car over £40,000 for 2022. “It is the perfect premium EV option for user-choosers or businesses to go green without attracting attention,” said Collins.

Business Car stated that the BMW 3 Series stayed the “king of the premium cars” for the fourth year in a row, describing it as an “attractive mixture” of driver appeal, engine choices, and low total cost of ownership.

BMW's X5 was named the Best Premium Large SUV because of its quality, well-made, and well-designed interior, as well as its optional seven-seat practicality. The X5 has been refined for the past 21 years, and the current fourth-generation version is a great fleet option, according to Collins. A plug-in hybrid X5 xDrive45e, which received an 'impressive' 8% BIK, was also praised.

Business Car’s Best Executive Car Award for the BMW 5 Series has been awarded for the third year in a row. According to Collins, “There is nothing we would rather have than the 5 Series. Despite stiff competition from new competitors, the BMW remains the accomplished all-rounder it has always been.”

Steve Roberts, General Manager, Corporate Sales at BMW Group UK said, “I am delighted to accept these awards on behalf of the corporate sales teams at BMW UK. We are incredibly proud to be named Fleet Manufacturer of the Year as the award recognises BMW’s continuous ability to adapt to fast-changing market conditions with our extensive model portfolio and ever-growing electrified range, without compromising on our industry-leading service for business customers.”
