A French SUV has topped one of the most respected industry surveys, naming it one of the best cars to drive in 2018.

Peugeot’s 3008 has been voted the No.1 car to own in Auto Express’ prestigious Driver Power survey. The survey which asks drivers of models less than 12 months old, to rate their car on all aspects of ownership, from the speed and performance of the vehicle, to interior design and technological specification.

The Peugeot 3008 came top with an impressive 93.88 satisfaction score, the best score since the poll began 16 years ago.
Auto Express said that the SUV scored well in every area: “Owners tell us they think it looks fantastic for one thing, with the French SUV topping the exterior design and build quality category – an impressive result, and one that shows the 3008 name is now attached to a far more desirable car than its MPV predecessor.”

Overall, UK drivers appear happier with their vehicles than last year, even though tax, petrol and the general cost of driving is higher than ever before. The average satisfaction level rose from 89.83 to 90.94 compared to the same survey last year.

The Peugeot has already racked up an impressive list of global motoring awards in 2018, 38 in total, and the vehicle has impressed Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief at Auto Express, he said: 'It’s got the SUV style that’s in huge demand, but backs it up with a high-quality interior, plenty of space, a great drive and excellent reliability – it’s no surprise owners love it so much.'
