Citroen Do Double At Used Car Awards

Mon 22nd Aug 2022

Citroën C3 Aircross and Grand C4 SpaceTourer have both been awarded in the annual Auto Express Used Car Awards.

Judges from Auto Express awarded C3 Aircross the ‘Best Used Small SUV’ award for the second year in a row, and Grand C4 SpaceTourer the ‘Best Used MPV’ prize for the third consecutive year. Their unanimous decision was based on the vehicles' distinct design, spacious interiors, and compartments and family-friendly features.

Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief at Auto Express, said: "Citroën C3 Aircross is proof that you don’t have to abandon your sense of fun when shopping for an affordable family run-around. With its blend of quirky styling and spacious interior, it is charming, distinctive and boasts a host of family-friendly features. On the move, it's clear C3 Aircross has been developed with the brand’s trademark focus on comfort, and there's a wide range of eager and frugal engines. Being sensible has never been more stylish.”

The Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer has once again taken home the 'Best Used MPV' category award, joining the C3 Aircross as a winner. Grand C4 SpaceTourer's spacious interior provided ample seating for up to seven people, and its numerous storage areas made it suitable for families. Moreover, the judges praised the vehicle's smooth ride. MPVs continue to be an industry and family favourite thanks to their supreme comfort, allowing drivers and passengers to travel.

Steve Fowler added: “The best used seven-seat MPV in the business is the Citroën Grand C4 Picasso, or Grand C4 SpaceTourer as it was renamed in 2018. Bursting with French design flair and crammed with numerous family-friendly features, it takes our ‘Used MPV of the Year’ trophy for the third year on the trot. Like all the best family cars, it feels like it's been designed from the inside out: the seats in the third row are roomy enough for adults and are easy to access, and the middle row has a trio of sliding and reclining seats, each with their own ISOFIX mounting. There’s a big boot, too, with a healthy 793-litres of carrying capacity in five-seat mode.”

Eurig Druce, Citroën UK’s Managing Director, said: “We are very proud to see C3 Aircross and Grand C4 SpaceTourer recognised once again in the Auto Express Used Car Awards. Such accolades are testimony to the Citroën brand’s dedication to building a wide array of reliable and versatile cars that continue to deliver against our customers' needs and expectations, remaining desirable for families even when the models become a little older.”
