Dacia Offers To Give 4x4s A Mud Wash

Tue 11th Jan 2022

The stereotypical London SUV driver will get offered a taste of the country this week as Dacia offers motorists the opportunity to get their cars countryside dirty.

The budget brand has done research which shows that 40 per cent of 4x4 drivers have never taken their vehicles off road, and now Dacia are now offering a free service where you can get your car ‘Adventure Ready’ with a Mud Wash.

Analysis from Dacia revealed that of 1,000 drivers, less than one in five had taken their car down a dirt track and very few had actually got their wheels muddy. Despite this, almost a quarter (22%) wash their car at least once a week. Two thirds of drivers in the survey said that the most challenging terrain they encounter is speed bumps on the school run, however 17 per cent said that they would love to be more adventurous with their 4x4.

With that in mind, Dacia is opening their Mud Wash next week, with their anti-clean team skilfully applying mud to vehicles by appointment only - covering the lower body and wheel arches to give that authentic off-road look.

“Our ‘Adventure Ready’ Mud Wash is about setting car buyers up for a year of adventure and embracing all that comes with it” said Luke Broad, Brand Director for Dacia UK. “The Dacia Duster is the perfect all-terrain vehicle to get Brits out into our fantastic countryside more often. For those feeling like their 4x4 is more at home on the school run than a mud run, the Mud Wash aims to inspire them to swap the telly for wellies and get off the beaten track this year!”

Dacia’s research shows that the nation is itching to get out on the open road, with 46 per cent keen to go on a road trip, while 37 per cent are looking for countryside drivers. With this in mind, Dacia have created their own Mucket List of adventurous drives and outdoor activities.
