Wed 1st Aug 2018

Prince Harry is trading in high-powered estate car, a move which has got the tabloids speculating that he may in the market for a car more suited to family life.

With just 4,464 miles on the clock, the 2017 Audi RS6 has had hardly any use and has been put up for sale by a Derbyshire car dealership who have confirmed that the motor has been in use by Prince Harry since it was registered in 2017.

With a four-litre engine, an automatic gearbox, and a host of added features including privacy glass, heated front and rear seats and 21-inch alloy wheels, which alone carry a value of £11,000, the RS6 Avant is likely to meet its £71k asking price with ease.

Harry was previously seen behind the wheel of the German motor at last year’s wedding of Pippa Middleton, but following his recent wedding, the newly appointed duke and duchess may be in the market for a new car.

The car is listed on Auto Trader, whose editor Erin Baker said: “This is a smashing car perfectly suited to any aspiring royal.

“The Audi RS6 Avant is one of the fastest estate cars on the market doing 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, and it has a roaring exhaust to excite any petrol head.

“The car boasts a 17 reg and low mileage, so it begs the questions why is the prince selling so soon?

“Maybe he’s on the market for a bigger family car, in which case we’d recommend a Skoda Superb, which won the best family car in our recent New Car Awards, or maybe he’s after an electric car, having driven Meghan away after their wedding in an electric Jag?”

CarSupermarket.com has more than 100 different Audi models to choose from, though we can’t guarantee any of them have been driven by a monarch.
