Get A First Look At The Seat Cupra Ibiza

Tue 20th Feb 2018

The all-new Seat Cupra Ibiza has been teased out on an Instagram fan page and the new hot hatchback is promising plenty.

With the brand new Cupra logo in full view, this is likely to be the last Seat Cupra branded car, before Cupra goes it along with its own brand.

With big alloy wheels, in-your-face styling and ultra-aerodynamic bodywork, this is a serious step up from the traditional Ibiza and gives a good pointer to the direction Cupra may be heading when it goes solo.

Though no engine details are known, what we do know is that we will get a DSG gearbox and rumours on the internet suggest it will be accompanied by a 197bhp, 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.

With a souped-up SUV also promised by Cupra, based on the Seat Ateca, there is plenty for Cupra fans to get excited about, and the Geneva Motor Show is likely to be watched closely for any further reveals.

Seat confirmed the Cupra breakaway last month and plans to build several models, which is sure to be an exciting time for all associated with the Spanish manufacturer.
