Got A Spare £600,000 In Your Back Pocket? You Might Be Tempted By This 1970s Revival

Mon 12th Feb 2018

There are many icons from the 1970s that are better left in the decade that fashion forgot. Flares, platform shoes and spandex, lots and lots of spandex. But there is one icon from the era that is making a welcome return – the Lancia Stratos.

The Stratos is making a limited edition return to our roads, only 25 will be built, after Italian coachbuilder Manifattura Automobili Torino announced that it will be turning the 2010 concept version into a reality.

There are expected to be three different versions of the Stratos – a supercar, a GT racing car and a Safari rally version.

Though the price is yet to be confirmed, the 2010 was rumoured to come with a £600,000 price-tag. So what will you get for your hard-earned? Well how about a Ferrari V8 engine, plus your own personal styling, and due to the Rally-car history, you even get storage for your own race helmet in the side-door.

"I am delighted that other passionate car enthusiasts can experience how successor of the most fascinating rally car from the seventies still sets the bar for design and performance today,” said Stratos Developer Michael Stoschek.

Want a super drive of your own? CarSupermarket.com doesn’t have a Stratos, but how about a BMW X4 xDrive20d M Sport for just £464 per month.
