Dacia recorded its highest ever slice of the UK car retail market with the Duster and Sandero being the number one and number two most popular models in their respective categories in July. In addition, the recently launched All-New Jogger took the lead in the C-Estate category.
Despite the fact that the automotive industry is experiencing a difficult time and customers are seeking the greatest value, Dacia has achieved 5.48% of the total number of cars sold to UK retail consumers in July.
The Duster SUV and Sandero supermini played a significant role in securing the brand's unprecedented market share, by combining proven durability, value, and quality in a vehicle. These cars were among the most popular with private car buyers due to their durability, value, and quality.
Sandero was the second most popular vehicle in the UK last month, behind only Duster. Duster was also the highest-selling vehicle in the retail C-class segment last month.
The Dacia Jogger is predicted to be as prominent as the rest of the Dacia range shortly after its official launch. Due to its combination of versatility and practicality, the new seven-seat model was also the biggest seller in its category in July.
Dacia’s performance in 2022 has been remarkable in terms of global sales and market share.
Dacia's surge can principally be attributed to the success of its new line, which in the UK comprises the Duster, Duster Commercial, Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and the seven-seat Jogger. Dacia maintained its position as the third-biggest brand in the European passenger vehicle market with retail customers during the first half of 2022.
“We are seeing that the popularity of our brand has been skyrocketing over the past few years, driven largely by our super simple range, our very well-equipped cars and our unbeatable value for money, said Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director. “It’s great to see a record month for the Dacia brand. This is just the beginning, though. With a bold new brand identity, fresh enhancements across our range and the recent introduction of the All-New Jogger, Dacia is only going to go from strength-to-strength in the UK.”
