Lexus Drivers Top Service Satisfaction

Mon 1st Jun 2020

A new survey of more than 18,000 drivers has found which car brand provides the best franchised service, but also revealed that independent services rank best.

Whilst franchised services come with the satisfaction of knowing you are dealing with experts for your car brand, however that service comes at a premium, with costs eye-wateringly expensive.

Many drivers prefer to get their car serviced at an independent garage, and the comes with increased savings and higher customer satisfaction according to a poll published by WhatCar?

The survey looked at three key factors - the politeness of staff, the quality of work carried out, and value for money. WhatCar used these scores to put together an overall rating and found that Lexus drivers seemed happy in both the Franchised and Independent list.

Satisfaction ratings for Independent garages perform much higher on average than Franchised, with almost every brand scoring in the 90% bracket, Suzuki topping the list with a score of 95.8%, Lexus close behind with 95%. Lexus and Suzuki are two of only four brands to achieve scores above 90% in the Franchised garages, with Subaru and Honda the other two - value for money likely to be a major factor.

Steve Huntingford, WhatCar? Editor said: “In our most recent reliability survey, Lexus topped both age groups – the first time any brand has done that. And now it has repeated the trick when it comes to servicing satisfaction, with owners of both its new and old cars full of praise for the quality of work, politeness of staff and value for money provided. Lexus clearly knows how to take the stress and frustrations out of car ownership.”
