As British summertime looks to be giving us the best of the weather there will be many looking for a family day out to enjoy the sunshine, but for those of us who are driving an electric vehicle, there’s that nagging question, where do we charge our car?
Well thankfully, to celebrate the launch of their first ever battery electric vehicle, the bZ4X, Toyota have put together a list of popular attractions which all have EV charging stations.
The list of tourist spots includes plenty to keep everyone entertained, many of which even offer free charging to visitors.
Diggerland, which has four sites across the UK, from Durham to Devon offers free EV charging, as does popular theme park Thorpe Park, which includes four EV chargers included in the car park price. Another site to offer free charging is The Wave, Easter Compton, Bristol, a huge 180-metre inland pool, which comes with waves.
North of the border the Logan Botanic Garden in Port Logan has four free EV chargers in their car park, while the The Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth, Wales has two free charging stations. Another ‘free’ charging car spot is the Elan Valley Vistor Centre, which has two ZeroNet EV charger as part of the £3 parking fee.

“Whether you’re planning a weekend trip, or a school holiday adventure, many of the following theme parks, museums, beaches, and nature reserves offer EV charging for free, included in the car parking price, so you can enjoy a zero-emission journey to your chosen venue, then plug in and enjoy your day.”
