On this day in auto history - September 24th

Fri 24th Sep 2021

It was on this day in 2010 that the Nissan Juke was first introduced to the UK market.

Having made a big impression when originally showcased at that year’s Geneva Motor Show, the subcompact crossover had enjoyed a highly successful launch in Japan and expectations were high when it finally hit UK showrooms.

Classed by many as one of the first ‘mini SUV’s’, the Juke’s unconventional styling, raised driving position and light steering has helped it win many admirers whilst its keen pricing has ensured it has sold well from the outset.

Such is the Juke’s impact in Europe, it now ranks second only to the best-selling Qashqai in Nissan’s line-up, whilst it continues to hover in and around top 10 of the UK’s best-selling vehicles.
