Prius Tops 2018 Satisfaction Poll

The Toyota Prius has been given 10 out of 10 for reliability following the publication of an influential driver satisfaction survey.

The Prius came top of the Honest John Satisfaction Index a survey focusing on the the so-called ‘good, the bad and the ugly of car ownership. The Index surveyed more than 10,000 respondents between December 2017 and July 2018 seeking out driver satisfaction amongst a number of categories including best manufacturer, best car, most reliable car and even best car insurer.

Toyota’s Prius came out top of both the best rated and most reliable categories, scoring 94.8 on the Satisfaction Index and rating 10 out of 10 for reliability.

The manufacturer award went to the rather unfashionable SsangYong, with the Korean carmaker finishing above heavyweights Porsche, Dacia, Jaguar and Lexus to take top spot with an excellent Satisfaction Index Rating of 90.3%. SsangYong were commended for their excellent range of SUVs, rugged four-wheel drive tech and comprehensive seven year 150,000 mile warranty.
