If you like driving off the beaten track then a new index of ‘wild wonder’ destinations could provide you with the driving experience you have craved.
The index, which has been compiled by MINI to celebrate the Countryman SUV, has been put together based on two sets of criteria, the visitor rating score taken from reviews on Google and Tripadvisor and a special ‘wildness’ factor for lesser well know spots which were compiled by looking at Google searches and Instagram tags. The criteria has helped MINI put together a comprehensive list of wild wonder drives scattered all across the British Isles.
The list features waterways, peaks, underground caves, with some of the destinations almost unreachable… almost. The number one spot in the list goes to an uninhabited island in Scotland called Uyea, which lies off the Northmavie peninsula and is only accessible at low tide. Several natural arches along its rocky coastline and challenging rock climbs make it the perfect destination for adventurous drivers.
