Renault Zoe Wins Used Car Award

Mon 12th Sep 2022

The Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric has been named ‘Best Used Electric Small Car’ at the What Car? Electric Car Awards 2022, the second consecutive time the pioneering small electric vehicle has taken home the prize.

This latest honour comes at a moment when more people than ever are seeking the most affordable means of switching to an electric vehicle.

The What Car? experts praised the Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric for its style, driving ease, and great value for money, saying that the Zoe continues to offer a comprehensive package that is difficult to surpass.

The newest Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric, with a 52kWh battery, can go up to 238 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. On boost charge models, you can charge up to 90 miles of range in 30 minutes, or 80% charge in less than 70 minutes, thanks to 50kW DC charging. The Zoe E-Tech Electric comes with climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in addition to a high level of standard features. A 5-year, 100,000-mile warranty plus an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty is provided to ensure peace of mind for drivers.

“In an ever-growing and hugely competitive field, the Renault Zoe remains our favourite small electric car if you’re buying used, thanks to its all-round competence and remarkable affordability. Buy a Zoe of any age and you’ll find it practical and stylish as well as smooth and easy to drive,” said What Car? Used Car Editor, Mark Pearson.

“If you buy one of the later versions, it comes with a very respectable range, too. Its success means it’s also a plentiful car on the used market, and because of that you’ll always find a decent version to suit your budget. It’s that value for money, added to its overall usability, that means for us there’s still nothing in this class to touch a used Zoe.”
