SsangYong Provides Surprising SUV Value

One of the UK’s lesser-known SUV choices, the SsangYong Rexton, has collected a major award at 4x4 Magazine’s end of year awards for the fifth consecutive year.

SsangYong’s flagship SUV won in the ‘Best Value’ category, with its 2020 update impressing judges for its sheer presence and beautifully balanced exterior. The Rexton offers a prestige cabin with supreme comfort, whilst also maintaining tough and rugged off-road capabilities.

“Each autumn, 4x4 of the Year comes around and one of the big questions is whether anything is going to be able to take the Best Value award away from the Rexton. And the big answer is always no,” said Alan Kidd, editor of 4x4 Magazine.
"It actually had stronger competition than ever before this year. But it's still up there, showing the rest of the market what value for money looks like. That's half a decade's worth of Best Value awards on the trot now – I never thought I'd see the day when I was saying something like that!"
The SsangYong brand, established in 1954 is Korea’s oldest vehicle manufacturer and only 4x4 specialist. Currently owned by Indian Mahindra & Mahindra and imported into the UK by SsangYong Motor UK, the Rexton is in its fourth generation and comes with an impressive 7-year/150,000 mile warranty.
“We are absolutely delighted!,” said Kevin Griffin, managing director of SsangYong Motor UK.
“Winning one ‘best value’ award is quite an achievement, but five times in a row is testament to how fantastic Rexton is. Both Musso and Rexton continue to win awards which speaks volumes about the SsangYong product range.”
