Sometimes your cheque book won’t stretch to purchasing your dream motor. But don’t worry too much, there are some cars that even the biggest bank balances can’t buy, the dream cars that will forever remain a dream. These are the concept cars that never get made.
There are Bugatti’s and there are Bugatti concept cars – neither of which are in reach of us mere mortals. However at least we can rest a little safer in the knowledge that even the richest of the rich will not be driving past you on the motorway anytime soon in a Bugatti Galibier.
Unveiled at an invitation only show in France in 2009, the Galibier came with a 8 litre twin-supercharged W16 engine and all-wheel drive.
Though initially we were due to see a production version of this dream car, named the Royale, though the manufacturer pulled-out of those plans four years later, with the reason rumoured to be so they could focus on the successor to the Veyron.
All may not be lost to those wanting to get behind the wheel of a Galibier, CEO Wolfgang Durheimer announced in May 2016 that the concept could yet turn to reality, though almost two years later there is still no news.
