Citroen C1
Believe it or not, the Citroen C1 is celebrating its 13th year in production. The nippy little City Car, designed by Donato Coco, was presented at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show and has been selling in the thousands ever since.

The C1 was developed in a joint venture between PSA Peugeot Citroen and Toyota and it’s no surprise that it’s almost identical to Toyota’s Aygo. In Europe the C1 is built in the city of Kolin in the Czech Republic and despite its small size comes with some fairly hefty credits when it comes to economy and reliability. German magazine Der Spiegel rates the C1 as the second-best fuel economy among petrol engines, with only the Prius ahead of it. Meanwhile the German Automobile Club placed the Citroen at the top of the sub small car class, in respect of low breakdown rates.
