Kia Sorento
When purchasing a Kia there are many huge bonuses, and huge is a word which certainly applies to Kia’s seven-seater Sorento, described by the ‘ultimate in driver comfort’ and an ‘exhilarating yet relaxed driving experience’ by the Korean brand’s own write-up.

First produced in 2002, the first generation was on the market for seven years and the mid-size crossover received fairly poor safety ratings for a traditional truck-based body-on-frame SUV.

Kia clearly took that assessment seriously and the second generation collected a ‘Top Safety Pick’ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The engine also received critical acclaim and New Zealand Autocar magazine gave it the SUV of the Year.

The current generation of Sorento was launched in 2014 and again comes with good safety ratings. The launch of the third generation came with a Hollywood style marketing campaign, which included a special edition Wolverine themed Sorento, to help promote the home release of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
