Seat Ibiza
The best selling car from the Spanish car manufacturer is named after the Balaeric island of Ibiza and has been rolling off the production line since 1984.

Introduced to the public at the 1984 Paris Motor Show, it was designed in collaboration with Porsche, though second generation models tool the platform of the Volkswagen after the collaboration between the Spanish and German manufactures.

The second generation of the Ibiza was named Car of the Year for 1994 in both Spain and Portugal, but it wasn’t until the third generation that it got real critical acclaim. It won WhatCar? Car of the Year in 2003, and the same magazine also named it Supermini of the Year for three years running.

Now in its fifth generation, production of the Seat Ibiza peaked in 2003, when 220,497 rolled off the production line. That’s down to 160,451 according to latest figures released in 2015.
