Mon 9th Apr 2018

There are thousands of cars to choose from at The choice is amazing, so to help you decide which motor might be best for you, this helpful guide to every model on the market should help.

Seat Leon
The first SEAT León was launched in 1999 as a hatchback based on Volkswagen’s Group A4 platform and for that reason took many of VW’s components which were found in models such as the Golf, Bora and Audi’s A3.

Marketed as a sportier and cheaper variant of the Golf, it’s styling as such looked a little bit more aggressive, and the higher-end versions of the León came with sports-style engines.

The Leon was marketed as a Cupra in some countries, but this didn’t harm its sales and its first marque to the 2001 Car of the Year in Portugal and the strangely sounding ‘Most Satisfactory Car of the Year’ in 2007 from Polish magazine Auto Swiat.

Since its launch in 1999, more than 1.8 million León cars have been sold, across the three separate generations. The future of the vehicle is going strong almost 20 years later with six new models of the popular SEAT promised up until 2020.
