Sat 12th May 2018

There are thousands of cars to choose from at The choice is amazing, so to help you decide which motor might be best for you, this helpful guide to every model on the market should help.

Volkswagen Up!
Though the first up! left the production line in 2011, Volkswagen’s city car was the result of four years of development and concept cars.

The exterior was designed by Brazilian designer Marco Pavone, and this was improved by VW’s Chief Designer Walter de’Silva and Klaus Bischoff.

The up! name was indeed a little contemporary and was mocked by Top Gear’s presenters, who, on launch called it the ‘Up-exclamation-mark’

Since launching the up! has seen many different trims and designs and has even inspired similar city cars from same platform such as the SEAT Mii and the Skoda Citigo. Volkswagen have also recently released an up! GTI and an E-up! with an electric engine.

Since being launched in 2011, the small car has won a number of awards, including the ‘Small Car of the Year’ by Top Gear Magazine, ‘Car of the Year’ by What Car? And ‘World Car of the Year’ 2012.
