The Take-Five Review: Audi A6 2018

Wed 11th Apr 2018

The Audi A6 has been around forever, at least it seems that way. But how do you change a European classic without deviating too much from its award-winning blueprint? The latest model tackles that most challenging conundrum.

The A6 saw a facelift in 2016, and additional technology and interior equipment were also added. But if the German classic is to keep pace in the executive saloon market, against the likes of the BMW 5 Series and Jaguar’s XF range, then it has some hard work ahead.

So what does the 2018 A6 offer that we’v e not seen before? We look at the web’s top three most popular reviews to try and find out.

Autocar.co.uk says: “The Audi A6 is very good in every department – but never exceptional. The A6 sets impressively high standards across the board without once threatening to blow the class out of the water.”

Autoexpress.co.uk says: “In the battle for supremacy in the corporate car park, the Audi A6 is a great choice. It’s understated style, classy interior and host of tech on board make it a saloon car to aspire to.”

Whatcar.com says: “Classy, refined, spacious and good value for money – the Audi A6 is an impressive executive saloon.”

Carconnection.com says: “The 2018 Audi A6 is a conservatively styled, but handsome mid-sized luxury sedan. It lacks the bells and whistles others now offer, but holds firm to its foundation as a competent performer.”

Autotrader.com says: “Gorgeous V6; top-notch interior materials and design; infotainment system interface; perfect crash-test scores.”
