Worries of getting caught in the middle of nowhere without an electric charging point look to be a thing of the past, at least that’s what Lexus seem to think.
The luxury Korean brand have launched their very first all-electric vehicle the UX 300e compact luxury SUV and rather than restricting owners to the urban areas, they have produced a list of scenic locations where public charging connectors are in abundance.
The list of eleven beauty spots includes some of the more hard to reach areas in the UK, however, once you have arrived at your destination, you can plug-in and take in the breathtaking scenery.
Lexus’ list includes Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire (four chargers), Coniston Water in the Lake District (four chargers), Minack Theatre in Cornwall (one charger) and even the remote wilderness of the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland (50 EV points).
“There are more than 43,000 public charge connectors in the UK where you can recharge your electric car – far more than the number of fuel stations – and some of them are in breath-taking locations,” said a Lexus spokesperson. “You can plug in and enjoy the views of beautiful beaches, National Parks, historic landmarks, and the shores of lakes, lochs and waterways.”
